This study explores the consolidation of National Kaohsiung Normal University (NKNU) and National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences (NKUAS), based on students' perspectives. These to universities were suggested to consolidate by Ministry of Education in Taiwan in 2001. So far, even after making an effort to merge, they are still separated. It seems that some problems lie in the processes of the consolidation, therefore, researches designed questionnaires, and studies literatures, documents and conference records 'to collect students' perceptions on purposes, process and dilemmas of consolidation. Sampling 555 Students from NKNU amid NKUAS, some conclusions came up after analyzing the data. To sum up, 54.41% samples support the consolidation, amid some background variables reach significant levels on purposes, process amid dilemmas of the consolidation. Based on conclusions, suggestions are offered: (1) NKNU and NKUAS should continue to discuss the consolidation. (2) Different backgrounds' students' need to be advocated for the consolidation. (3) Purposes of the consolidation need adjustments. (4) Strategies of the consolidation in this research could be referenced. (5) Students' opinions should be taken into consideration for the consolidation. (6) Students of NKNU amid NKUAS need more communication to decrease prejudice. (7) Stakeholders could be expanded for the future research on this topic.
