《左傳》唐國位置與鄖縣肖家河楚墓墓主性質探究
Exploration on Location of the Tang State in the Zuo Commentary and Owner of Chu Tomb in Xiaojiahe Village, Yunxian County

It has always been greatly controversial among scholars regarding the geographic location of the Ji-clan Tang State mentioned in Zuozhuan. However, it is indeed the significance of its geographic location that drives us to explore why the Tang State was annihilated till the late Spring-Autumn Period. According to the recent analysis on the utensils of the Tang State and the strategic location of Nanyang, it is believed in the paper that the Ji-clan Tang State was basically not far from the Sui State; that the location of the Tang State was determined around Suizhou in ancient books fundamentally conforms to the fact of utensils relating to the Tang State which have been unearthed. In terms of the Chu tomb in Xiaojiahe Village, Yunxian County, Hubei, some believe it might be for a Ji family, or a Yang family in the Chu royal clan. After the investigation of Chu tombs, words and appellations, it is believed in the paper the owner of the tomb in Xiaojiahe Village might be not from the Ji family, or the Yang family in the Chu royal clan, it might be a monarch of the Jun State, or a royal member of the Jun State, a tributary to the Chu State.
