蜂王漿(royal jelly)為高經濟價值之機能性食品,由於其在臨床醫學上証實具有多種療效,加以其中若干成份被發現具有抗菌、抗緟瘤之效果,因此一些皮膚保養品、化妝品或飲料將其添加於配方成份中以提高商品價值。癸烯酸(10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid,10-HDA)是蜂王乳中重要成份,在自然界中只有蜂王漿中才具有,也被認為是其神奇療效重要因素之一,因此在蜂王漿盛行之日本與大陸地區,均選擇此種成份做為其品質檢驗之標準。本研究主要是利用高效液相層析法,將蜂王漿以不同之溶劑系統萃取,並不斷測試與改良其操作步驟,多次重複觀測其10-HDA含量與回收率再現性,並將採自不同來源地區之蜂王漿加以此較,使其定性定量方法標準化,以提供未來國內制定國家標準之參考。此一方法之確立不僅有助於業者對於蜂王漿成份之品質保証;經由此技術之分析檢驗,消費者在購買蜂王漿時也可得到較大之保障。
Having been confirmed for multiple medical functions in clinical, royal jelly is now considered as functional food with a high economic value. Some components in royal jelly have been recognized to have antitumor and antibacteria capability; and thus, those are potential new drug or new antibiotics in the future. For the purpose of adding commercial value of the products such as skin nourishments, cosmetics, and soft drinks, the manufacturers always choose to include some royal jelly in their product formulations. Royal jelly is rich in 10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid (10-HAD) which is the one attributing the magic medical efficacy of nature royal jelly. Accordingly, 10-HAD is chosen as national criteria for quality of royal jelly in Japan and mainland China. This study is to standardize the operation procedure of 10-HAD extraction and HPLC analysis. The existing extraction protocol was substantially modified and the reproducibilities were confirmed. 10-HAD contents and recovery of the royal jelly from different sources were examined. The established quantitative and qualitative method for 10-HAD provided a good reference for national standard proposal. The method is also very useful for the quality control of royal jelly producer. Thus, the rights and priviledge of consumers will be better protected.
