In recent years, more and more countries increase natural gas into the energy portfolio because of environmental protection and greenhouse gas emission reduction pressures. Since 2016, the new government of Taiwan came to power, the national energy policy moves towards non-nuclear homeland and low-carbon economic development. In light of the natural gas has important role in Taiwan's new energy policy, which related Taiwan's energy security with the international supply and demand development of liquefied natural gas (LNG), the main purpose of this study is to assess the implications of global LNG Development, related to the change of international LNG market and price trend, for Taiwan's Energy Security. This study also proposed some strategies for facing with the challenges of future supply and demand of LNG in Taiwan.
