A 35-year-old male patient with fracture was treated with right side parathyroidectomy to improve his symptoms of hyperparathyroidism. He was readmitted due to recurrence of the symptoms. The 99mTc-MIBI scan showed a suspicious focus of left side parathyroidoma(parathyroid adenoma).After operation, the lesion was proved to be a parathyroid adenoma at the lower pole of left thyroid bed.
