由於傳統原油探勘績效普遍不佳,且油源漸少,因此,非傳統原油如油砂(oil sand)及油頁岩(oil shale)之發展技術漸受重視。油砂之主要開採技術有CSS(Cyclic Steam Stimulation)、SAGD(Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage)、VAPEX(Vapor Extraction)及地面採礦(open pit)等方法,其中以SAGD採收法最為石油工業界看好,預估四~五年內將使此項技術達到成熟階段並邁向商業化之應用。至於油頁岩之開採技術主要係先利用地面採礦之方法,再經蒸餾作用生產原油。經濟上較可行之方式是在產地之地下礦坑內,直接將油頁岩就地蒸餾。本研究之目的為探討油砂及油頁岩之發展技術。
Due to the gradual shortage of conventional crude oil and the fewer outcomes of exploration and production, it’s thus paid more attention to extract crude oil from oil sand and oil shale. There are several processes to upgrade oil sand including CSS(Cyclic Steam Stimulation), SAGD(Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage), VAPEX(Vapor Extraction), open pit, etc., where SAGD has expected to possess great potential to commercialize in the near future. However, the most popular process in oil shale utilizes open pit technology first, and then produces oil by distillation, but it’s more feasible and economic to distillate directly the oil shale in the pit during the course of production. The aim of this paper is to address the innovation and development in oil sand and oil shale industry.
