聚氨基甲酸樹脂塗料耐候配方性能探討

Weathering Ability Studies on Polyurethane Coating: The Effect of Additives on Degradation of Polyurethane

摘要


目前中油公司大多使用油性聚氨基甲酸酯(PU)塗料作為油槽及鐵件防蝕塗覆的面漆,一年的使用量說超過2萬5仟萬加侖,由此可知,探討聚氨基甲酸樹脂塗料配方對塗料性能的影響,對於本公司提升儲槽使用效率、防止儲槽管線腐蝕、降低維護費用,實為相當重要的課題。聚氨基甲酸酯(PU)塗料配方由聚醇類(Polyol)和異氛酸鹽(Isocyanate)產生架橋反應,添加顏料、消泡、流變、分散劑等添加劑而成。本實驗將配製成不同灰色聚氨基甲酸酯塗料配方,加入硬化劑後塗裝在試片上,待自然風乾後,製成不同配方塗膜試片,進行加速風化耐候利瞼、光澤度、分光色差、粉化、紅外線光譜儀(IR)等測試,探討不同的聚醇樹脂原料來源,與不同的潤濕分散添加劑種類,對於聚氨基甲酸酯塗料耐候性質的影響。 所有不同配方塗膜試片經耐候實驗後,塗膜試片性能測試結果顯示,DAILIC AC-5080樹脂添加含胺之親和顏料基團的高分子量嵌段共聚物DesperBYK-163分散劑,再加上光穩定劑CIBA-5050,灰色#36聚氨基甲酸酯塗料配方具有最佳耐候效果,由CIBA-5050紫外線光譜的吸收範圍,確認其同時具UVA紫外線吸收劑(UVA)與受阻礙胺光安定劑(HALS)之耐候功效。而ETERAC 7303-X-60樹脂,添加低分子量不飽和酸性的多元羧酸聚酯加有機聚矽氧烷共聚體的BYK-220S分散劑,提供灰色#36聚氨基甲酸酯塗料配方有較佳的耐候性能。因此,聚氨基甲酸酯塗料配方因聚醇樹脂不同來源,需添加適當濕潤分散劑以改善整體耐候性能。

The influence of gray #36 polyurethane (PU) coatings formula on the coatings' performance has been studied. Polyurethane coatings were produced by the polyaddition reaction of a polyisocyanate with a polyalcohol (polyol) in the presence of pigments, antifoamings, rheology modifiers, dispersing agents. Gray polyurethane (PU) coatings were prepared in the testing slice and left to dry naturally after a hardening agent was added. The study evaluated the influence of the two different polyol's raw material origins and the different dispersing additives in the polyurethane coatings formulations on the weathering resistance by glossmetry, spectrocolorimetry, chalking test, infrared spectroscopy etc. The influence of light stabilizer and dispersant on the degradation characteristerics of polyurethane (PU) coating has also been evaluated. Ultraviolet radiation from sunlight causes the chalking of resin and the fading of pigment by breaking down the chemical bonds in coatings. The experimental results in this study demonstrated that AC-5080 polyol adds DesperBYK-163 dispersing agent, which contains the solution of a high molecular weight block copolymer with pigment affinic groups; the gray #36 polyurethane coating formula has the best weathering stability in addition to light stabilizer CIBA-5050. Ultraviolet spectrum absorption results also confirmed CIBA-5050 possessed ultraviolet ray absorbent (UVA) and hindered amine light stabilizing agent (HALS) to PU coatings. But, ETERAC 7303-X-60 polyol with BYK-220S dispersing agent, which is a solution of a lower molecular weight unsaturated acidic polycarboxylic acid polyester with a polysiloxane copolymer, provides the gray #36 polyurethane coating formula to have good weathering resistance. Therefore, the different polyols needs the different chemical additives to improve the weathering ability in the polyurethane coating formula.
