1kW固態氧化物燃料電池發電系統測試與改善

Experimental Investigation into Performance of 1 kW Solid Oxide Fuel Cell System

摘要


本研究為建立一套以天然氣進料之kW 級固態氧化物燃料電池(Solid OxideFuel Cell, SOFC)系統,藉由與核能研究所合作於廠區內建置一套 kW 級SOFC發電系統並進行測試與改善作業,評估做為未來分散式發電設備之可行性。建置後的SOFC 發電系統,初步先進行100 小時以上之性能測試,發電系統由點火升溫至系統停機,測試總歷程超過420 小時,系統操作216 小時期間電池堆輸出功率維持在905 W 以上,發電效率在32.5 %(低熱值)以上。為提升發電系統之發電效率,於尾氣端增加一組鎳焊之板式熱交換器,以回收系統內部熱能,並降低尾氣的排氣溫度;經由此一改善作業,系統發電效率提升至40%以上,系統昇降溫所需時間也同步縮短。

Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) are considered as a promising solution for both small- and large-scale electrical generation applications and are expected to be commercialized in the near future. This study has conducted an experimental investigation into the performance of a 1 kW natural gas fueled SOFC power system. In the study, the system was heated up without any electric device, i.e., the fuel provides the required thermal energy through an integrated balance of plant (BOP). The output power from the stack reached to 905 W, while the electrical efficiency was more than 32.5 %. A steady 100-hour system operation test was carried and a 36-cell stack was employed for the test. Meanwhile, through using the flue gas heat to recovery the inlet cathode temperature, the electrical efficiency was improved up to more than 40 %.
