硫磺回收(Sulfur Recovery Unit, SRU)單元為煉油廠加氫脫硫單元及甜化單元副產H_2S之回收單元,係收集胺液再生單元(Amine Regeneration Unit, ARU)及酸水汽提單元(Sour Water Stripping Unit, SWS)之酸氣,經熱反應爐及克勞斯觸媒床反應後產出液態硫磺。硫磺回收單元(SRU)於生產過程中,熱反應爐及克勞斯觸媒床會產生大量廢熱,經製程換熱器回收廢熱並產製高壓(41kg/cm^2G)及低壓(3.5kg/cm^2G)蒸汽回送煉油廠其他單元使用。為維持廢熱鍋爐之鍋爐水品質,須持續進行鍋爐水排放並回收至冷卻水系統。由於原設計鍋爐水廢熱並未充分回收再利用,於二〇一七年與工業技術研究院進行廢熱回收研究合作專案,引進有機朗肯循環發電技術(Organic Rankine Cycle, ORC),以進一步提高能源使用效率。
The Sulfur Recovery Unit (SRU) unit is the recovery unit for the H_2S by-product of the hydrotreating unit and the sweetening unit of the refinery. It is used to collect acid gas from the Amine Regeneration Unit (ARU) and the Sour Water Stripping Unit (SWS). Liquid sulfur is produced after reaction in thermal reaction furnace and Claus catalyst bed. During the production process of Sulfur Recovery Unit (SRU), the thermal reaction furnace and Claus catalyst bed will generate a large amount of waste heat, which is recovered by the process heat exchanger and high-pressure (41kg/cm^2G) and low-pressure (3.5kg/cm^2G) steam is produced and sent back to other units of the refinery for use. In order to maintain the boiler water quality of the waste heat boiler, it is necessary to continuously discharge the boiler water and recycle it to the cooling water system. Since the waste heat in the original design was not fully recovered and reused, in 2017, a waste heat recovery research cooperation project was carried out with the Industrial Technology Research Institute(ITRI), and the Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) power generation technology was introduced to improve energy efficiency.
