A drilling string for coring consists of water swivel, drill rods, core barrel, reaming shell and bit etc. The thrust is transferred to the drill rods through a chuck which rotates the drilling string as well as forcing downwards to obtain core sample. As a vast volume of standarization of diamond drill tools using letter names confused many person s working and interested in the exploratory drilling, this writing is tried to introduce some basic drilling methods, diamond drills, mud pumps, drill string, casing, holding tolls and fishing tools for core drilling.
