摘要

臺灣地區安眠藥過量或濫用的病患，在臨床上頗常見；但其戒斷症狀，卻常被忽略。為增進對此疾病的認識，吾人僅報告兩名因藥物戒斷，而產生精神病症與其他嚴重症狀的個案。經由早期診斷與適當的治療，兩者皆恢復良好。

In Taiwan, patients with a benzodiazepine overdose or abuse are commonly seen in clinical practice. The clinical features of benzodiazepine withdrawal are less well recognized by emergency physicians. To increase physicians' awareness of the various features of benzodiazepine withdrawal, we present our experience in treating two such patients. Both patients developed psychosis, diaphoresis, tachycardia and rhabdomyolysis following the sudden discontinuation of benzodiazepines. Although the diagnosis of benzodiazepine withdrawal was initially delayed by inadequate pertinent historical information and their bizarre presentations, a high index of suspicion and their prompt therapeutic response to diazepam confirmed the diagnosis. Both patients recovered well.
