摘要

福建南安縣所發現的清末天地會文件，反映了閩南天地會為了取得暴動的成功，曾運用假借太平天國聲威、借助鬼神的魅力，以及制造謠言混淆視聽等種種的策略，來試圖達到壯大自身隊伍和削弱清政府統治力的目的。這些策略，固然有其愚昧落後的因素在內，但是這些策略在相當程度上是與當時社會下層民眾的文化意識相切合的。正因為如此，我們在探討清末天地會活動的時候，這一時期中國民問社會的文化意識基礎，更是應當引起人們的高度重視。

The documents of the Heaven and Earth Society in late Qing Dynasty, founded in Nan'an County of Fujian Province, shows that the Heaven and Earth Society of Southern Fujian once adopted a lot strategies for the sake of the success of riots, such as utilizing the prestige of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and the witchery of the ghosts and gods, as well as scattering rumors to mislead the public in order to enlarge its own troops and undermine the government of Qing Dynasty. Despite of its ignorance, these strategies to some extent adapted to the cultural level of the lower social stratum. Therefore, when probing into the activities of the Heaven and Earth Society, we should pay much attention to its relation to the cultural foundation of the folk society during late Qing Dynasty.
