Simple Method of Treatment for Subungual Hematoma
指甲下血腫之簡單治療方法
摘要
指甲下血腫在指頭受到撞擊或是壓碎性傷害後時常可見，並且會給病患帶來嚴重難以忍受的疼痛感。治療此病症的方法主要有指甲穿洞引流術和指甲移除手術兩者。根據我們的經驗，利用燒紅的迴紋針頭來做指甲穿洞引流術就可以簡單並且有效的在不必任何麻醉下立即解決病患之疼痛，而且可以避免感染或是指甲變形的併發症。相對來說，為了引流血腫或是修補指甲床裂痕而進行指甲移除手術則是不必要的。雖然利用燒紅的迴紋針來做指甲穿洞引流術治療指甲下血腫並不是一種新的方法，但仍鮮為人知，故它需要加強宣導讓更多的人可以好好利用此方法來急救病人。

Subungual hematoma is a common injury after a blow or crush injury to the nail, which causes severe excruciating pain. Nail trephination or nail plate removal was used to be done for its treatment. In our experience, nail trephination with heated paper clip is a simple and effective metohd to relieve pain immediately without any anesthesia, possible infection and nail deformity. On the other hand, it is not necessary to remove the nail plate for hematoma evacuation or nail bed lacerations repair. Although nail trephination with heated paper clip for subungual hematoma is not a new method, yet it was not well known so it should be further emphasized and popularized.
