跳脫傳統企業經營管理以創造財富為核心價值,本研究以設立於新加坡的創新與設計公司-Consulus為個案,運用Breuer & Lüdeke-Freund「價值為基礎之創新管理」(values-based innovation management)架構,探討個案的價值及其對公司經營管理模式所發揮的關鍵作用。透過文獻研究、參與觀察與訪談,發現「合一」(unity)是個案的企業核心價值,它強調人與人間「合作」與「夥伴」關係,並將「以人為中心」的理念當作企業發展模式與經營方法,最後的目標是追求世界合一。在合一的價值觀引導下,Consulus建立公司內部合一的企業文化、規範、商業模式與產品。對於求助客戶,Consulus首先要求客戶必須以合一為企業價值,然後提供建立合一文化的方法,幫助客戶凝聚員工向心力、一起找出共同目標與願景,並以此為創新管理的基礎,解決公司困境並重建經營模式。總之,「合一」不僅是Consulus的企業價值,也主導企業規範、策略與運作。透過本研究,不僅提醒我們「價值」並非遙不可及的理想,但一定要透過設計才得以實踐;此外,透過研究彰顯社會上實際利益眾生價值的企業,也可以是學者影響企業文化與社會規範的途徑。
According to the values-based innovation framework, which was developed by Breuer and Lüdeke-Freund, value, a notion of the desirable, is a source, lever, and orientation for innovation management. There are three main dimensions of innovation, ie., instrumental, strategic and normative innovation, provided in this framework. This paper uses the framework to analyze the roles that value play in Consulus which is a Singapore consulting firm. Based on my review of the Consulus' documents, interviews with corporate innovation professionals and staff, as well as participant observation, this paper shows that 'unity' is the core value of Consulus. This value has shaped Consulus's purpose, mission, vision, services and products within their company. Consulus also develops many instruments based on the value of unity to create a unified company culture and to solve any business crisis. These instruments are implemented to help their customers who are also companies too. The findings of this research are compared with the survey by Breuer and Lüdeke-Freund, and the practical implications of this research are also discussed in the conclusion section.
