電漿及E-Beam之聚丙烯酸改質超高強力聚乙烯對物性影響之研究

The Effect of Plasma and E-Beam Treatment Modified with Polyacrylic Acid on the Properties of UHMWPE

摘要


本研究係以超高強力聚乙烯纖維来進行電漿處理以及聚丙烯酸樹脂加工,以不同的電漿條件及聚丙烯酸之濃度處理俊,再經電子束照射後探討對纖維強力及親水性之影響。由研究中發现,超高强力聚乙烯經氬氣電漿以及電子束處理後,其親水性有明顯改善,但纖维強力會随電漿時間、瓦數及電子束之能量的增加而下降。藉由掃描式電子顯微鏡觀察到纖维表面呈现蝕刻的现象,故經聚丙烯酸樹脂加工後,将使其包覆纖维,可減少纖维強力之損失。

In this study, we use plasma and PAAc to processing surface property modified with UHMWPE. The surface property has been modified by plasma treating with different treat time, power and PAAc concertration. By the electron beam illuminate that discussion to about the influence of strength and the wettability. In this work, we found that the wettability of polyethylene fabrics were improved and could absorb water after treatment by plasma, but the tenacity of polyethylene fiber was decreased with increasing treatment time power and electron-beam, because the surface has the etching phenomenon. We could observed the surface etching phenomenon by SEM. Therefore after polyacrylic acid treatment, can reduce loss of the fibers strength.
