摘要
自從雷射發明之後，近代雷射的使用已經在各個領域中越來越普及，也越來越進步。包含各種工業的應用、醫療的應用、家電的應用…等等。在牙科醫用雷射的應用方面，目前可以見到的有，CO2雷射、Nd:YAG雷射、Er:YAG雷射、Diode雷射、Argon雷射、Alexandrite雷射、Excimer雷射等。各種不同的雷射有其不同的性質以及使用上的優點以及特別的適應症，其中Er:YAG雷射在牙周治療方面的使用，包含非手術性、手術性的治療及植體周圍炎的控制等方面已經有許多的研究，本文將針對Er:YAG雷射於牙周治療方面的使用，探討其對牙根表面及牙周軟組識的影響、臨床使用的效果、實際上的可行性。

Following the development of LASER, it has been widely used in many purposes including the applications for industry, medicine and electrical appliance, etc. Several LASERs including CO2 LASER, Nd:YAG LASER, Er:YAG LASER, Diode LASER, Argon LASER, Alexandrite LASER, Excimer LASER have been used in dental treatment for a period of time, and every LASER has their own characters and recommendations for application. Recently, studies on Er:YAG LASER have been published for the applications for surgical or non-surgical periodontal and treatment of implantitis. The in vivo and in vitro effect of Er:YAG LASER in periodontal treatment seems promising.
