Computer-guided implant surgery is an increasingly important procedure for prosthetic-driven implant placement nowadays. Therefore, many previous studies were conducted for factors that may influence the accuracy of guided implant surgery, multiple risks, and ways of prevention and management. Since each step of the guided surgery procedure, from data collection, and guide fabrication to surgery performing, may play an essential role in the accuracy of the guide application, this literature review hopes not only to organize different factors based on different phases of the procedure but also to summarize potential treatment or prevention methods corresponding to each stage, in order to maximize the accuracy of guided surgery during our clinical use.
