不當使用口腔清潔輔助用品造成之影響與併發症：系列病例報告
Impacts and Complications with Improper Use of Home Care Dental Devices: Case Series
摘要
若要控制好牙周健康，口腔衛生維護是首要關鍵，包含牙刷、牙間刷、單束毛牙刷，甚至漱口水的正確使用，都是牙醫師在臨床執行衛生教育的重點，若不當使用潔牙工具，便有可能對牙周組織造成化學性傷害或是物理性傷害，甚至美觀上的影響。本文針對過度使用口腔清潔輔助用品所造成的負面效果，提出三則病例報告，分別為化學性的氯己定漱口水染色、物理性的牙刷橫刷且無控制力道而導致之軟硬組織刷耗，以及較為罕見的斷裂牙間刷刷頭所引發外來異物嵌塞之牙周膿腫，探討各自發生的原因、臨床上的表現和影響以及治療處理之方法，並且再次強調正確且適當的操作各項潔牙用品進行口腔衛生維護工作，才能在盡量不傷害組織以及美觀的情況下，維持牙周健康。

To effectively maintain periodontal health, oral hygiene is of paramount importance. The correct use of tools involved in oral care, including toothbrushes, interdental brushes, single-tufted brushes, and mouthrinse, is emphasized by dental professionals when delivering hygiene instruction in clinical settings. Improper application of these oral hygiene tools can potentially result in chemical or physical damage to periodontal tissues and may even impact aesthetics. This article addresses the impactions and complications stemming from the excessive use of home care dental devices, demonstrated by three case reports. The first case presents chemical discoloration, specially staining, resulting from improper use of chlorhexidine mouthrinse, while the second delves into the consequences of excessive horizontal brushing force, leading to physical abrasion of soft and hard tissues. The third case, a relatively rare occurrence, investigates a periodontal abscess resulting from a foreign body impaction due to the fracture of an interdental brush head. This article explores the etiologies, clinical manifestations, impacts, and treatment approaches for each case. It emphasizes the importance of accurate and judicious oral cleansing aid usage, highlighting that maintaining periodontal health requires meticulous care to prevent tissue damage and preserve aesthetics.
