摘要

本文探討世界各地的龜文化，特別研究了中國古代龜文化產生的原因，是因為龜有天、地、人之象，上古軒轅黃帝族以龜為圖騰，易卦起源於龜腹甲上的構紋，龜長壽，有頑強的生命力，因此，龜成為中國古代四靈之一。文中還探討了龜形建築、村鎮和城市及其文化內涵。

This paper explores the culture of tortoise worship in the world, and particularly researches on the reason why the culture of tortoise-worship was produced in ancient China. The answer is of the follows: Tortoise has a image of both the Heaven, Earth and Man; the clan of Huangdi Emperor had a totem of tortoise; the origin of divinatory symbols of Yi is of the veins of abdominal shell of tortoise; tortoise has a long life and great vitality; tortoise was one of the four sacred animals. Buildings, villages, towns and cities with the shape of turtle are explored and their cultural connotation is discussed.
