This study exploring the definition of Tainan castletown and its historical districts from the perspective of soundscape. Into the general perception of the contemporary "Soundscape" from the preservation of "Landscape" and looks forward to the study of "Sound Travel" conducted by researchers in 2018. Analyze the trinity correlation between "Human, Environment and Sound", and attempt to align with the ecological triangle in the environmental landscape with C. Tilly (1974), and clarify for the research case: (1) The composition of urban sound elements (2) People's emotional connection to the sound (3) What is the representative soundscape in the region, and the type of soundscape is preserved. The research case is based on the "Cultural Landscape" proposed by Carl Sauer (1925). It is believed that whether it is a natural or artificial space element that place with the essential characteristics belongs to the cultural landscape within a certain period of time; through the Murray Schafer (1977)'s "Five Village Souodscape" that is a guide for soundscape research, which promotes the link between sound and environment through text analysis and case studies, and then promotes the "Cultural Experience" and "Sound Creative" industry models. During the study period, the first-hand data was collected by activity record (picture and sound data) and questionnaire survey which were quantitatively responded to the research purpose: "the city's sound elements, the connection between people and sound, and the preservation of the area represents the type of soundscape" . The final conclusion will be that the urban sound elements are closely linked to the local cultural and historical values; the connection between people and the environment can be more topical through the sound; the regional tradition and innovative value can enhance the cultural landscape through the soundscape promotion. In the end, we will open a new experience model, and provide practical analysis and advice on the future of soundscape promotion and cultural industry.
