Dina Rubina is one of the most popular writers in modern Russia. The white dove of Cordova is a novel regarding the adventure of Cordova who was a painting forgery master. Writer used vivid and brilliant words, fresh and unique metaphors to enrich her writing in this novel. This article analyzed the functional characters of metaphors in The white dove of Cordova by using the conceptual metaphor theory (CMT) and conceptual blending theory (BT), and discussed mappings between different conceptual domains. Afterward, we presented the cognitive structures among the domains of metaphors systematically, and established the model of metaphors used in the novel. Therefore, we can have deeper and more clear comprehension of the idiostyle of Rubina's creation, based on the results from this study.
