摘要

面對齒列空間不足之病例，矯正醫師有許多選擇以爭取牙齒排列空間。本篇文獻回顧主要整理拔牙及迷你植體以外之傳統方法，著重於大臼齒遠心移動及牙弓擴張兩大方向。選取鐘擺式裝置（pendulum appliance）、distal jet、rapid maxillary expansion（RME）、唇擋（lip bumper）等常見裝置，以不同面向探討治療成效。以期矯正醫師在面對空間不足之病例時，預見治療成效及其極限，達成合適的矯正治療計畫。

When treating patients with teeth mal-alignment and crowding, orthodontists have many strategies to gain the space. This article reviews the conventional methods which focus on molar distalization and arch expansion, rather than tooth extraction and temporary anchorage devices. The outcome of treatment with pendulum, distal jet, rapid maxillary expansion, and lip bumper were evaluated from various aspects. The aims of the literature review are to help orthodontists formulate an optimized treatment plan and predict treatment outcome and limitation in acquiring space by molar distalization and arch expansion.
