The traditional Chinese concept of "fable" comes from "Zhuangzi". During the midst of the drastic social changes and the collision of old and new ideas, the tremendous power of allegorical literature was rediscovered by the newspapermen at the late Qing dynasty. Founded in 1901, "Fable" was named specially. The works closely followed the times and current social situation. In response to the thought of saving the nation from extinction and enlightenment, the newspapermen tried to wake up the people and save the whole country. Works in "Fable" have their unique charm of literature and realistic significance. With the rise of the new media, intellectuals used the press as an important position for expressing their personal political views. They expressed the concern for society and practiced actively in the modernization of Chinese literature.
