Spontaneous renal artery dissection (SRAD) is a rare condition that occurs prior to renal infarction. The clinical presentation often mimics urolithiasis, which makes it difficult to diagnosis in the beginning. We describe a 31-year-old male patient who presented with left flank pain for 4 days. Renal artery dissection complicated with renal infarction was diagnosed using abdominal computed tomography (CT) and angiogram. The patient was treated with conservative methods and was free of symptoms.
