摘要

Most of studies on Contrastive Rhetoric assumes that the results from a linguistic variant from a given language can be extrapolated to the rest of linguistic varieties without further ado. In this article, we question this approach, analyzing the use of counter-argumentative connectors in traffic accident news appeared in Spanish and Mexican newspapers. The results show differences in the connector used by both groups, in their frequencies, in their values and in their conventions where they are used.

大多數對比修辭學的研究假設來自某種語言的語言變體之結果，可以輕易地推論到其他不同語言上。在本研究中我們質疑這種方法，藉由分析西班牙和墨西哥報紙在交通事故新聞中使用對比連接詞的情況，結果顯示出雙方所使用的連接詞在頻率、價值和使用慣例中的差異。
