國中生家庭社經地位、休閒活動時間與學習成績的關聯探究

The Relationship Between Family Socioeconomic Status, Leisure Time and Academic Performance of Junior High School Students

摘要


國中生休閒活動時間和學習成績之關聯顯少有研究,本研究以「國民中學學生學習狀況調查資料庫」的1,234名樣本探討此議題。本研究運用了描述統計、單一樣本平均數t檢定、Pearson積差相關、因素分析與迴歸分析,透過資料庫的問卷整理出國中生的家庭社經地位、休閒活動時間,以及國文、英語、數學及自然領域的學習成績。研究顯示:國中生的休閒活動時間以看電視電影最高,其次為打球,最後為參觀文藝展,同時國文、英語、數學及自然領域的學習成績高於及格標準。國中生的家庭社經地位愈高,學生逛書店與到圖書館時間愈多,國文、英語、數學與自然領域的學習成績愈好。國中生看電視電影、逛街與購物時間愈多,國文、英語、數學及自然領域的學習成績愈低。國中生和同儕一起聽演唱會、爬山、跳舞、下棋時間對四個領域之學習成績沒有顯著影響。值得注意的是,國中生打球時間愈多,國文與英語及自然領域之學習成績愈低,以及投入武術時間對英語學習成績為負向顯著影響。因此,國中生休閒活動時間的安排及規劃,值得學校、教師、家長與學生重視。

There were few studies on the relationship between the time of leisure activities and academic performance of junior high school students. This study discussed this issue with 1,587 samples from the "Tracking Survey Database of Learning Status in Junior High Schools". Descriptive statistics, single-sample mean t-test, Pearson product difference correlation, factor analysis, and regression analysis were used in the study, in which the family socioeconomic status, leisure time, and academic performance in Chinese, English, mathematics, and natural science of junior high school students are sorted out through the questionnaires in the database. The conclusions were as follows: Time for leisure activities of junior high school students watching TV and movies was the highest, followed by playing basketball, and finally visiting art exhibitions. At the same time, the academic performance in Chinese, English, mathematics and natural science field were higher than the passing standard. The higher the family socioeconomic status of junior high school students, the more time students spent in bookstores and libraries, and the better their academic performance in Chinese, English, mathematics and natural science field. The more junior high school students spent watching TV and movies, shopping, the lower their academic performance in Chinese, English, mathematics and natural science field. Students spent listening to concerts, climbing mountains, dancing, and playing chess with peers had no significant impact on the academic performance of the four areas. It was worth noting that the more junior high school students play ball, the lower their academic performance in Chinese, English and natural science field, and the time devoted to martial arts had a negative and significant impact on English academic performance. Therefore, the arrangement and planning of leisure time for junior school students deserved the attention of schools, teachers, parents and students.
