本研究以同樣於1921年發表的,以第一次世界大戰為背景的《奇妙的故事》(1921.1)以及以甲午戰爭為背景的《奇異的重逢》(1921.1.5〜2.2)為對象,來探討作品中所呈現的「怪奇」要素問題。本研究認為在《奇妙的故事》以及《奇異的重逢》兩個故事裡頭,關於戰爭背景與「怪奇」要素的結合,例如發瘋、分身等等,並非如同先行研究所指出的單純是芥川本人的怪奇嗜好,或是僅是芥川內心的不安因素,又或只是做為批判時政的一種手法而已。筆者認為,芥川在這兩篇作品裡,乃是以被幻象所困擾的女性為主軸,利用「怪奇」要素這個手法,反映了戰時下的戀愛(通姦)問題。本研究的目的就是基於以上的觀點來解開兩個作品中「戰爭」與「怪奇」,以及當以上兩點與「女性」結合在一起時所代表的涵義。
In this study, both works were published in 1921, such as ”A strange story” (1921.1) which was based on the First World War and the other one against the background of the Sino-Japanese War was ”Bizarre reunion” (1921.1.5 ~ 2.2) were objects to explore ”Stranger” elements presented in the works.This study suggests that the meaning of ”Strange” elements inside the two works, are not as the first Institute pointed out that is just the Strange hobby of Akutagawa, or the Inner anxiety of Akutagawa, or just as a criticism of current affairs practices. I believe that the Akutagawa in these two works, but plagued by phantom female spindle. He used the elements of ”Strange” to reflect the wartime love (adultery) problems. The purpose of this study is based on the above points to unlock the ”Strange” in the two works represent different meanings.
