『三四郎』『それから』の関連性-「貸借関係」の視座より

『三四郎』『那之後』的關聯性-由「借貸關係」的視角進行探討|The Association Between Sanshiro and And Then: From the Standpoint of "Lending Relationship"

摘要


夏目漱石の『三四郎』『それから』『門』はストーリーの展開やそれぞれの主人公が抱えている悩みなどから、漱石の前期三部作と見なされているのは改めて言うまでもない。それ以外に、『三四郎』と『それから』には各人物間の貸借、また男から女への援助など金銭が絡んでいることはモチーフとまではいかなくても、物語の展開に大きな役割を果たしていることを見落としてはならない。『三四郎』では、脇役の与次郎に借金を求められた美禰子が三四郎を通すという形の貸借が織り込まれている。『それから』においては代助が三千代夫婦の為に金を調達したこと、また父親から生活の援助やそこからの結婚を迫られる代助親子間の貸借など様々な「貸借関係」を見出すことができる。こうして主人公のみならず、色々な登場人物が貸借に絡んでおり、「貸借関係」が様々な形で作品に織り込まれているのは興味深い。本稿では、『三四郎』及び『それから』にあるそれぞれの形の貸借やそれに絡んでいる人物の関係などを考察した上、作品におけるそれぞれの「貸借関係」の意味、一種の策略としてストーリーの発展に如何なる働きとして果たされるのか、またそこから両作品のつながりが考えられるかなどの問題を明らかにすることを試みる。

眾所周知,夏目漱石的『三四郎』『那之後』『門』在故事的發展,或各主人公所面對的煩惱等層面來看,被視為夏目漱石前期三部作,此外,『三四郎』『那之後』中,各腳色之間的借貸或是男性對女性的金錢支援等,雖未達故事主題的層次,但是對故事情節的發展都有非常大的影響,不容忽視。在『三四郎』當中,穿插的「借貸關係」是配角的與次郎跟美彌子借錢,但卻是美彌子透過三四郎把錢借給與次郎。『那之後』當中,代助為三千代夫婦籌錢、父親的生活援助或是這種關係下的婚姻的催逼等,可以看到各種形式的借貸關係。不僅主人公,各個登場人物都牽扯到,借貸關係以各種不同形式穿插在故事中,別具意義。本稿首先就『三四郎』及『那之後』中各種形式的借貸或牽扯出的人物關係進行考察,其次論證作品中「借貸關係」的意義,探討其在故事情節發展中是否被做為某種策略?又發揮何種作用?是否可由此關係證明兩篇作品間的關聯性?|It goes without saying that the development of story and having troubles of each leading characters etc. in Sanshiro, And Then, The Gate of Natsumei Soseki as the trilogy in his early period. What is more, the effective function cannot be overlooked for the development of story for lending relationships between each character as well as the association of money for the support to women from men etc. even though it is not a motif. It appears that the incorporation of the lending as lending money to Mineko from the supporting character Yojiro through Sanshiro in Sanshiro, on the other hand, the diverse lending relationships could be discovered from the lending between Daisuke with his father due to marriage, life support from his father, financial arrangement for the couple of Michiyo in And Then. Accordingly, it is interesting to find out that lending relationships in different forms are woven into works for the association of lending from not only the leading characters but also various characters.
