Fitz-Hugh-Curtis syndrome (FHC) is an unusual complication of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). Conser vative people in Taiwan are too shy to speak about their sexual behavior, especially when untypical symptoms occur after sexual behavior. Herein, we report a 17-year-old girl who initially suffered from diarrhea and vomiting, with fever and abdominal pain persisting during the hospital course. Abdominal computed tomography revealed increased perihepatic enhancement, and FHC syndrome was suspected. Therefore, we traced back the history of her sexual behavior, and anti-chlamydia trachomatis immunoglobulin G (IgG) and IgM showed positive findings, and we then changed our medical decision to gynecology and PID investigation.
