飛行員操控下撞地(Controlled flight into terrain,CFIT)是F-16型機失事的主要原因之一,係指正常的飛機與地形發生碰撞,可能原因為飛行員由於空間迷向或G力昏迷引起的意識喪失而導致危險。自動地面防撞系統(Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System,Auto-GCAS)能夠在飛行員喪失控制能力而可能發生碰撞時啟動,使飛機爬升至安全高度並迅速將控制權交還給飛行員。本報告目的係為了解本系統之功能及使用成效,並為我國空軍F-16型機性能提升案提出建議,以提升飛行安全。
Controlled flight into terrain is one of the major causes for the crash of F-16. The reason may be caused by spatial disorientation or G-force induced loss of consciousness. If the pilot is unable to keep the aircraft in appropriate altitude and the plane is in danger to crash, the Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System will be activated, allowing the aircraft to climb to a safe altitude. The system will then quickly return the control to the pilot. The purpose of this study is to understand the design, function and effectiveness of this system, and provide recommendations for the performance improvement program of the ROC Air Force F-16.
