WADO是web access DICOM persistent objects的縮寫,它是一個以網路爲基礎的服務元件,符合此規格的資料可在網路上傳遞與交換。使用者透過支援DICOM格式的網路瀏覽器可以自由地存取、閱覽、甚至在權限允許下編輯資料。 台北榮總放射線部以往用透視X光機執行錄影檢查時、均是以類比訊號儲存在磁帶上。如今引進WADO的觀念,在有限的資源下、使用了三台個人電腦建構了適用於醫院應影像儲傳系統之數位化動態食道攝影檢查。首先利用電腦介面卡將透視X光機獲取的類比訊號降頻、擷像、同時將聲音訊號取下。所有訊號透過專業的醫學軟體(Uni-gate/Uni-web)一併儲存成符合DICOM格式的數位檔案,然後經由網路傳送到Uni-web的伺服器上。如此一來、放射科醫師即可利用任何一部電腦登入Uni-web醫學網路瀏覽器瀏覽並製發報告。透過網路存取醫學資料的服務將是必然之趨勢。且此方法花費低廉、並大大提高資料傳遞與閱覽的方便性。因此我們將本部成功之經驗發表出來與大家分享,爲提升醫學服務品質貢獻一份心力。
The WADO (Web Access to DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) persistent Objects) implementation is based on the WADO standard, which is a part of the DICOM specification. We are successfully cost very scarce financial resources in using PC (personal computer) to frame-grabbed analog video of fluoroscopy and to convert those analog video into digital video records which are compatible to the DICOM format. At the same time, we send the video pictures to web server by way of the Internet. The clinical physicians and radiologists can directly login via the Internet to review the fluoroscopic video for diagnosis or making reports. and this way will save a great deal of expenses for Taipei Veterans General Hospital without updating X-ray fluoroscope; at the same time we also accomplish the WADO digital synchronous fluoroscopic environment.
