以超音波探討脂肪肝與皮下脂肪層厚度之相關性

Relationship between Fatty Liver Disease and Subcutaneous Fat Thickness Using Ultrasound

摘要


肥胖族群比例逐年增加,且衍生出許多肥胖相關的慢性代謝性疾病,引起各界開始關注人體脂肪所帶來的危害。因此,如何監測人體脂肪的組成與分布,儼然已成為重要課題。本研究使用超音波儀器診斷脂肪肝及測量皮下脂肪層厚度,並探討兩者之相關性。在醫療檢驗項目中,超咅波的使用屬簡易且精確,亦對人體無傷害性,故本研究乃利用上述超音波的優點,探討與臨床疾病相關之議題,期望對預防健康保健能帶來貢獻。本研究結果無脂肪肝樣本群其皮下脂肪層平均厚度為1.04cm±0.67,而有脂肪肝樣本群皮下脂肪層平均厚度為1.50cm±0.88;男性皮下脂肪層平均厚度0.95cm±0.66,女性皮下脂肪層平均厚度1.11cm±0.66。觀察結果顯示,有脂肪肝的人,其皮下脂肪層平均厚度大於無脂肪肝的人,另從性別觀之,女性皮下脂肪層厚度大於男性。總結本篇使用簡易超音波儀器測量皮下脂肪層厚度,並檢視其脂肪肝程度,應用在醫療臨床實務上,可提供重要資訊來預防肥胖衍生疾病。

The increasing obese population has become an important health issue because a number of diseases appear to be derived from obesity. In turn, concerns are being raised about the harmful effects of lipids. Therefore, it is intrigued to monitor the amount and distribution of human fats in the medical health field. In this study, ultrasound was used to diagnose fatty liver and to measure subcutaneous fat layer thickness. With ultrasound, its advantages are easy to operate and harmless to humans, in addition to its accuracy of measurement for subcutaneous fat thickness. As a result, the ultrasound-measured average subcutaneous fat layer thickness of patients without fatty liver is 1.04cm±0.67. And with fatty liver, the thickness is 1.50cm±0.88. The thickness with respect to male is 0.95cm±0.66, while it is 1.11±0.66cm for female. According to our finding, the subcutaneous fat layer thickness of patients with fatty liver is greater than that of those without. In addition, the thickness is measured significantly greater in females than in males. Furthermore, the ultrasound-measured thickness of subcutaneous fat layer is positively related to severity of fatty liver disease, thus an additional information to correlate with metabolic disease. In practice, this study provides valuable information for fat-related disease prevention.
