With abundant oil resources and geopolitical strategic position, Iran is considered to be one of the best targets for India to seek strategic partnership. At the same time, because of the rapid economic growth in recent years, oil consumption is huge, and the emerging power of India, with its limited resources, also makes Iran close to it. Nevertheless, the relationship between the two countries has not been significantly improved. The differences between the two sides in their diplomatic strategic objectives have led to the development of bilateral relations limited by the third country - the United States. In the foreseeable future, the relationship between India and Iran will continue to remain "hot and cold" dilemma.
