試論「挨拶」（日語的「問候語」）

摘要

本文擬從幾個方面對「挨拶（日語的「問候語」）進行探討。筆者先對日語的「問候語」作如下定義：「為了使語言交流能夠順利開始和維持順暢的社會關係，必須使用社會期待的在特定場景慣用的並符合禮儀的語言活動方式」按照以上定義，我們來考察日本社會是在「怎様的場景」，進行「慣用的語言活動」的。為此、我們先嘗試把使用招呼語的場景以及所用表現進行分類。在此基礎上，我們發現，日語「問候語」的使用範圍比其他語言寛廣，而且從在幼兒時期使經常地使用。而另一方面，我們也發現，雖然日本人互相使用招呼語的場景很多，但同時也存在一些不太使用招呼語的場景。譬如，服務行業的業者和客人關係中的客人，互不相識者之間，以及與此相反的親屬間表示感謝和賠禮道歉等場景。本文最後論述了日語中「問候語」的相關語言特徴：現狀表述性，述語性，修飾性，以及道謝和道歉現方式的重疊使用，命令形式的多用，還有語句冗長等語言特徴。

This paper reports on various aspects of the Japanese expression ”Aisatsu (a synonym of 'greetings' in English)”.When ”Aisatsu” is defined as fixed and courteous expressions which are exchanged on certain occasions expected by the society for making opening communication smooth and maintaining relationships comfortably, then the questions of 'on what occasions are ”Aisatsu” exchanged? 'and 'what expressions are used as ”Aisatsu”? inevitably occur. To answer these questions, first, a classification of ”Aisatsu” is tried in this paper.Secondly, the range which the term ”Aisatsu” covers and the cases in which ”Aisatsu” are exchanged or not exchanged in Japanese society are shown.Finally, the author refers to some linguistic features of the expressions in various ”Aisatsu”, andcontrasts them with a few other languages.
