消された『残像に口紅を』を求めて－筒井康隆における世界に繋がる言語の冒険－

本稿では筒井康隆という虚構小説家の戦略的ポジショニングの問題を『残像に口紅を』（1989）から追究したい。まずは登場人物の佐治と関わり合うことでもたらされる虚構の諸様相について考察分析した。そして言語ゲームの実験による新たな文学の創造、表現形式と接合することにより、いかなる「文学」を拡張するかの問題などを視野に入れながら、これらの書く行為＝実践に関わる作家の意識的な操作、そして未曽有の「書く」効果の面白さとインパクト、つまり作家筒井康隆を通して新たな実験的メタフィクション（Metafiction）に変えることを、彼の求め続ける新しい「世界」に繋がる言語の在り様として解釈することを試みたい。結論では、『残像に口紅を』には筒井康隆の作家としての出発において重要なモチーフとなった意欲的に言語実験と文学理論生成作業、ひいては彼の生涯文学を貫く方向性を究明するための手掛かりが隠されていることを明らかにした。

The interpersonal relationships centered on the character Saji are presented to analyze the fictitious world presented by the novel. The new form of literature created by Tsutsui through the word experiment is examined in coordination with the forms of expression in the novel to explore the approaches through which the literature form is developed. In addition, Tsutsui's conscious manipulation of writing practice and the unprecedented impact it brings is analyzed. That is, Tsutsui created a new experimental metafiction through his writing styles. Such is the new language he seeks in connecting with the world.
