Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticle in sun product can provide for excellent scattering and wide protection. Whether TiO2 nanoparticle coated polymer, the influence upon the sun protection efficiency can be determined in vitro. In this research, TiO2 nanoparticle coated polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) is prepared and its sun protection is characterized. By using TiO2 raw materials from different source, the improvement in UV-absorption, particle size and SPF value is obtained. We find that polyrner-TiO2 nanoparticle has better UV-absorption for sun product, and that polymer membrane does not influence its particle size. This polymer-TiO2 nanoparticle has extremely good transparency and sense of touch.
