Treatment of Mallet Fracture with the Extension-block K-wire Method

阻擋伸展之K鋼線治療槌狀指骨折

摘要


目的:這項研究的目的是為槌狀指骨折, 即遠端的指骨伸肌腱牽扯性骨折,以kirschner鋼線阻礙伸直來治療, 評估其效果。方法:從2002年1月在2004年6月有12 槌狀指骨折病患接受手術。排除一位喪失追蹤,在這系列方面有11位病患。有5個男性和6個女性。平均43歲。至少十個星期追蹤。結果:以kirschner鋼線阻礙伸直來治療是一種迅速,有效和較少併發症之方法。結論:以kirschner鋼線阻礙伸直治療,由本研究佐證是一種迅速、有效和較少併發症發生之方法,其臨床的結果是好的,可提供臨床醫師卓參。

Background and Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the extension block Kirschner wire fixation method for large mallet fracture. Methods: There were 12 patient suffered from mallet fracture which fracture fragments were more than one third of articular surface. They received surgeries of extension block Kirschner wire method from Jan 2002 to June 2004. Exclude one patient lost follow up, there were eleven patients included in this series. There were 5 male and 6 female, average 43 years old. Eight patients were more than two weeks between deformity and operation days. They received a minimum of ten weeks follow up. Results: According to Crawford's criteria eight were excellent, two good and one fair. Two patients suffered from pin tract infection and resolved by oral antibiotic. Conclusion: This study reveals the extension block Kirschner wire method was effective and less complication in treating mallet finger even in subacute and chronic cases.
