摘要

Drug-induced hyponatremia is common in the first week of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) treatment, especially among women and patients older than 65 years old. Older women who need to use SSRIs should consider SSRIs with a lower incidence of drug-induced hyponatremia and use lower dosages. Physicians should enhance the monitoring of clinical symptoms and blood sodium levels of the patients who take multiple medications that easily cause hyponatremia.
