Convention Tourism: A Burgeoning Industry in China

中國會議旅遊發展淺析

摘要


會議旅遊已經成爲中國旅遊業的重要組成部分,但是目前國內在這方面的研究還相對落後。本文在對國內外相關文獻進行綜述的基礎上,對中國會議旅遊的發展的優勢、劣勢、機會以及挑戰進行了分析,指出了中國應在設施、形象、服務方面加強發展,並設立專門的管理部門進行規劃和管理。此外,本文還提出中國現階段會議旅遊應採取一種等級發展模式。

Convention tourism has become one of the fastest growing segments in tourism industry in China, but relative studies are laggard. Based on a literature review in the field of convention tourism, this paper analyzed the strength, weakness, opportunity and threat of China as a convention destination in detail, pointed out that for future development, China should put more efforts on constructing enough and high standard infrastructures, designing appropriate and attractive image, increasing the quality of services and setting specific department to manage convention industry. The paper also suggested that China should adopt a hierarchical development strategy, i.e. divide convention destination cities into primary international convention center, secondary international convention center, and national center. Some further research topics were also suggested.
