In recent years, there has been a dramatic demand for stringent Time/Phase and low Latency due to the continuing evolution of mobile network technologies. The Enhanced Primary Reference Time Clocks (ePRTCs (A, B)) locate in core centers (Backhaul) and the Primary Reference Time Clocks (PRTCs (A, B)) locate in Edges (Fronthaul) in the synchronization networks; they constitute PRTCs-cloud in the networks. High bandwidth 5G and LTE-A will be massively dependent on phase services; therefore it makes operational sense to have a secure, guaranteed back-up for phase services. Using PTP from the Core ePRTC (A, B) to back up the Edge PRTC (A, B), when the latter's Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is unavailable. In this paper, we demonstrate ePRTC time/phase accuracy monitoring against UTC (*) with our proposed GPS common-view (CV) technique for assuring network performance. The analytical results justify the GNSS CV technique offers a worthy performance monitoring schemes for ePRTCs-cloud in synchronization network.
