The fast growing emerging economies in the past decade along with the relatively high production cost in Taiwan have caused the relocation of production industry become inevitable. China, without a doubt, is the prime location and at top of the list for offshoring. In order to compete with other countries around the world and gain the winning edge toward the long-term success, it is essential for the industry to clarify the variance of offshoring. For the last few years, mold firms confront a strong competition from China and South East Asia. Additionally advantages of human resources in the developing countries usually put Taiwan manufacturers under tremendous operational pressure. Therefore, migration of Taiwan mold and die firms have continued. This study chooses Taiwan mold and die industry as subject, taking the ”Manufacturing Value Chain Migration” as the main axle, utilizing ”Inter-industry Interdependence Analysis” with secondary data of related researcher. The result of inter-industry interdependent analysis indicates that domestic talents and the import instead of the home-made products are the seriously internal problems of Taiwan. Furthermore, we analyze the region economy influence, and propose strategic suggestion for Taiwan mold and die firms and government at final.
