Supernumerary teeth are defined as extra teeth that can develop in both primary and permanent dentition withhigher prevalence in Asian population. 92.8% of supernumerary teeth are found in the maxillary anterior region and begin to develop before the teeth that they are related. However, this article presents two cases of late developing supernumerary premolars. Supernumerary premolars of both cases were left in situ and under observation periodically due to no radiographic evidence of complications. Radiographic examination plays an important role in diagnosis of supernumerary teeth. Dental CT also helps to clarify the exact relationship between supernumerary teeth and normal dentition and to detect complications. This article emphasizes the importance of regular follow-up of patients who were genetically predisposed to or previously diagnosed with supernumerary teeth.
