The mandibular second molar impaction is an uncommon condition with a prevalence from 0.05% to 2.3%. Problems associated with impacted second molar included malocclusion, caries, periodontitis, root resorption of neighboring tooth, and cyst formation. To avoid the above complications, early detection and intervention are recommended. This article is a case report of uprighting a mesially impacted mandibular second molar using segmental fixed orthodontic appliance with multiple loops . The method is simple, effective and efficient to correct the impacted mandibular second molar.
