目的:統計馬祖東引島與台北都會區兒童在雙側咬翼片上發現,探討都會區與偏鄉離島患者的齲齒特性以及治療差異。方法:本篇為回溯性研究,對象年齡介在5.5~9歲照射雙側咬翼片患者。東引組別紀錄東引衛生所有接受雙側咬翼片(bilateral bitewing film)照射且符合年齡的孩童。另外一組為台北組別紀錄台北馬偕紀念醫院於2020年10月至2020年11月接受雙側咬翼片照射且符合年齡的孩童。分析兩組患者的性別、年齡,側方齒群的齲齒數、齲齒部位、因齲齒缺牙、已填補牙齒、牙套數目及一年內塗氟次數。結果:58位孩童符合條件,東引組別9人、台北組別49人。平均齲齒顆數,東引組別5.78±3.56顆,較台北組別(3.24±3.35顆)多,且有顯著差異(p<0.05);因齲齒缺牙平均顆數,東引組別0.44±1.33顆,顯著高於台北組別(0顆)(p<0.05)。牙套及已填補牙齒平均顆數在兩組無顯著差異,東引組別孩童第一乳臼齒牙套數量比第二乳臼齒數量來的多(p<0.05)。結論:在蛀牙及因齲齒缺牙平均顆數東引組別較台北組別多,但牙套及已填補牙齒顆數兩組則沒有差異。
Purpose: Count the findings on bilateral bitewing radiographs from Matsu Dongyin Island and Taipei Metropolitan area children. Identify oral health status and characteristics of dental treatment between metropolitan area and offshore islands due to different health policies, distribution of medical resources, and patient characteristics. Methods: A retrospective and comparative study was conducted of pediatric patients aged between 5.5 and 9 years old with bilateral bitewing film examination. In the Dongyin group, all children from Dongyin Health Center who received bilateral bitewing examination and correspond to the age of study were recorded. In the Taipei group, children who received bilateral bitewing examination from October 2020 to November 2020 and correspond to the age of study were recorded. The gender, age, decayed, missing, and filled teeth, placement of stainless-steel crown teeth and fluoride application records were gathered. Results: Our study included 58 children, 9 children in Dongyin group and 49 children in Taipei group. The mean number of decayed teeth was higher in Dongyin group (5.78 ± 3.56) than Taipei group (3.24 ± 3.35) with significant difference (p < 0.05). The mean number of missing teeth was higher in Dongyin group (0.44 ± 1.33) than Taipei group (0) with significant difference (p < 0.05). No significant difference in mean number of filling teeth and placement of stainless-steel crown teeth between two groups. Children in Dongyin group had significantly more placement of stainless-steel crown in the first primary molar than in the second primary molar (p < 0.05). Conclusions: The mean number of decayed and missing teeth was higher in Dongyin group than Taipei group with significant difference. No significant difference in mean number of filling teeth and placement of stainless-steel crown teeth between two groups.
