馬克斯與愛爾蘭

摘要

我們在這裡有三項考察的重點；在馬克斯的想法中，馬克斯主義與民族主義的關係如何（或是階級與民族／族群的關係如何）？馬克斯對於英國在愛爾蘭的殖民統治有何想法？他對於愛爾蘭的前途有何診斷、以及具體的建議？最後，我們將以馬克斯過世後的發展，來看他的接班人如何看待民族主義，以及簡單回顧愛爾蘭後來的實際地位，看看跟馬克斯的預測有什麼出入的地方。

In this article, we shall endeavor to answer the following three queries: First of all, what are the relations between Marxism and Nationalism, or those between class and nation/ethnic group? Further, how had Karl Marx understood British colonialism in Ireland? In other words, how had he diagnosed Ireland's fate and what had he prescribed for the Irish? Finally, we shall look into how Marx's disciples had treated nationalism. In conclusions, we shall compare the later development in Ireland with what Marx had predicted.
