Communication Problems at Japanese Companies in Asian Countries-Malaysia, Philippines and Taiwan

亞洲日系企業工作者的溝通問題-以馬來西亞、菲律賓、台灣為例

摘要


由文獻中得知,在亞洲企業中,日籍駐在員與當地員工存在一些溝通問題,研究者由研究發現中,提出了三種溝通問題。1.說“YES跟NO”的表達方式不同;2.對於團體中工作的職責與責任的定義;3.對更換工作的想法。為解決上述各種日籍駐在員與當地員工的溝通問題,研究者針對跨文化訓練課程提出以下提出幾點建議:1.在跨文化訓練課程中,老師應清楚說明日籍員工對“YES跟NO”的表達方式,以利於其工作之執行。2.日本與其它三個國家的團隊工作體系不同,因此,老師在跨文化訓練課程中,應適時說明此差異。3.日本對工作的認知與其它三個國家有所不同,因此,老師在跨文化訓練課程中,應說明此差異,並傳達日本終身雇用的想法。改善日籍駐在員與其它三個國家員工溝通問題的方式很多,以上僅針對跨文化教育中提出解決之道,使日系企業的台湾人員工和日本人駐在員,更進一步了解日本企業的文化,減少雙方面溝通的差異性,增進雙方面的合諧。此研究結果,將提供跨文化教育課程設計上的些許建議,進而讓員工了解此跨文化差異。

From a review of the literature regarding communication problems between Japanese expatriates and local employees in Asian countries, some common areas of difficulty can be found, such as: the inability to say YES/NO clearly, attitudes toward working as a member of a work group, and attitudes about changing jobs. To help solve these communication problems, we make some suggestions for cross-cultural training which may help Japanese expatriates and local staffs to understand their mutual cultural differences.
