Objective: To study the clinical effectiveness of pricking and cupping on Ci-Liao for chronic prostatitis. Method: 60 cases of prostatitis for at least 6 months are divided into control group and placebo group randomly. 30 cases in treatment group received pricking and cupping on bilateral Ci-Liao; 30 cases in control group received gatifloxacin. Result: Three months after treatment, there is significant difference (P<0.01) between treatment group and control group. There are 27 cases (90%) with significant effectiveness, 2 cases (6.7%) with effectiveness, and 1 case (3.3%) with no effectiveness in the treatment group. Conclusion: Pricking and cupping on Co-Liao for chronic prostatitis has significant effectiveness with minor side effect.
