By improving the traditional Japanese geisha's styling based on the modern elements, this study expects to provide more different ideas as well as applications of design to people who are engaged in creating and pondering the geisha's image. By such way, the dress and accessories that the geisha wears can also be worn by the ordinary women. Under such circumstances, this study began with collecting the data related to the traditional Japanese geisha's styling, along with historical literature and books about geisha and the various types of their styling and clothes.
