日本職棒比賽用球改變對選手表現之影響
The Effect on the Player Performance by the Changing of the Official Ball in Nippon Professional Baseball
摘要
日本職棒自2011年球季開始使用彈性係數較低、縫線寬度較寬但高度較低的統一比賽用球，結果影響選手在2011年球季的表現，雖然投手的威力沒有明顯的進步，但是投手的成績大幅提升，打者的成績大幅下滑，也使得球隊的戰術也有所改變。中央聯盟的球隊大幅降低盜壘戰術且大量採用觸擊推進戰術，而太平洋聯盟的球隊同時增加了使用盜壘戰術與觸擊推進戰術的使用頻率。由日本職棒的例子得知，平時的練習與比賽中必須讓選手提早適應比賽用球。在國際比賽當中長打與得分必定較低，因此投手與守備的重要性大增，而在進攻上必須增加犧牲觸擊或盜壘戰術的使用頻率，加強推進的效率與速度的應用，才能在低比分的比賽中取得優勢。教練在國際賽事時也必須根據這些前提來挑選球員，在戰術執行時更必須穩紮穩打，才能在低比分的比賽中獲得勝利。
