目的:本研究採用質性訪談方式,針對12位年滿65歲長者經歷COVID-19的相關經驗進行資料收集,探討COVID-19流行期間對社區長者生理與安全層面影響評估。方法:研究於2022年11月30日取得馬偕紀念醫院人體研究倫理審查委員會審查通過(編號為22MMHIS373e)。樣本選取以立意取樣方式,於2022年12月至2023年1月以臺北市社區長青大學或社區據點為收案地點進行研究。主要研究概念參考本馬斯洛的需求理論及融合壓力調適行為理論相關文獻為基礎,建立概念性架構與擬定訪談大綱。訪談資料收集後,將內容謄寫成逐字稿,進行內容編碼分析與歸納整理。結果:主要研究結果發現COVID-19對長者生理層面的影響包括:造成日常生活改變、疫情中健康狀況驟降、疫情中醫療資源取得不易等。對長者在安全層面的影響包括:防疫物資缺乏、疫情期間人與人之間的隔閡、對生活環境的重新掌握等,文中針對這些次主題將進行資料描述。結論:最後本研究建議如何提供社區長者的健康生活型態的適切協助、使長者有適切的人際網絡和支持系統、接收正確的官方資訊將有助於壓力的緩解及社交隔離的情形,提升其安全感,以達到長者活躍老化的目標。
Aims: This study utilized qualitative interviews to collect data on the experiences of 12 elders aged 65 years or older who experienced COVID-19, with the specific purpose of exploring the impact of COVID-19 on the physiologic and safety dimensions of elders in the community. Methods: The study was approved by the Human Research Ethics Review Committee of Taipei MacKay Memorial Hospital on November 30, 2022 (22MMHIS373e). Sample selection was based on purposive sampling, and the study was conducted from December 2022 to January 2023 at Community Evergreen University or community sites in the Taipei City community as the study sites. The main concepts of the study were based on Maslow's Needs Theory and the literature related to the integration of stress adjustment behavior theories to establish a conceptual framework and to develop the interview outline. After the interview data were collected, the content was transcribed into verbatim transcripts for content coding analysis and generalization. Results: The main findings of the study revealed that the physical effects of COVID-19 on the elderly included changes in daily life, a sudden decline in health status during the epidemic, and a lack of access to healthcare resources during the epidemic. The safety impacts of COVID-19 on the elderly include: lack of epidemic prevention materials, interpersonal barrier during the epidemic, and regaining control of the living environment, etc. These sub-themes will be described in the paper. Conclusion: In conclusion, this study suggests that providing appropriate assistance to the elderly in the community for a healthy lifestyle, enabling the elderly to have appropriate interpersonal networks and support systems, and receiving correct official information will help to alleviate stress and social isolation, and enhance their sense of security, in order to achieve the goal of active aging for the elderly.
